The World Athletics Championships Oregon22 has successfully concluded its ten day run at the University of Oregon. From July 15-24, the world experienced the expertise and passion of the University of Oregon community as well as the magic of Hayward Field.

Whether in human performance, sports business, product design, or another field, the University of Oregon has long been a front-runner in the study of sport and wellness. Now, with the Sport and Wellness Initiative, we are delivering a new model of education and scholarship. We are structuring programs, courses, research, and partnerships to answer complex challenges with innovative and applied solutions that benefit all of us, across ages, abilities, and health.
We foster a culture of collaborative education and research among academic disciplines, athletics, and industry partners to create new opportunities for students and faculty and to accelerate sport and wellness innovation.
Our efforts advance research that breaks traditional boundaries and brings together faculty and students from across the university as well as external partners to apply results to improve health and performance and to set the global research agenda in the field.
The curriculum draws on collaboration among a host of fields to create nuanced, multifaceted, and experiential learning opportunities for students, enabling them to differentiate themselves and stand out in their future careers.
